What must I do to keep my clock looking nice?
A good quality glass-cleaner such as Windex or GlassPlus for the glass portions of your clock, and a liquid furniture
polish (not spray!) like Pledge or Old English is perfect for preserving the wood parts of your clock.
The chime does not sound on time:
On the back of the movement, toward the top, there is a small, slotted white adjustment screw labeled "+" or "-".
A slight adjustment may be necessary to make your clock chime on time.
For some reason, my clock's pendulum stops swinging:
First, be sure your clock is level. Use an inexpensive bubble-level to check this. Second, your clock's battery
may be getting weak. A new battery may fix this.
The second-hand stays in one place and "bounces":
Try replacing the battery. Even if the pendulum still swings, the battery may be getting weak. If this does not work, your clock's
movement may need to be replaced. Please visit our Support Page for more information.
I replaced the dead battery, but now my clock does not run:
Check the polarity (direction) of the battery - it is easy to install the battery incorrectly. Try turning the battery around; in most cases, incorrectly installing the battery will not harm your clock.
I find the chime irritating, can I turn it off?
There is no switch for this. Your clock would require a new movement to eliminate the electronic chime.
After changing the battery, my clock will not chime:
This is normal. Your clock may not chime the first hour after changing the battery, but should start again upon the second hour.
